Job Title: Heavy Diesel Mechanic and Mobile Plant Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic and Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks including maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on heavy diesel mechanics and mobile plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repair of heavy diesel mechanics and mobile plant equipment
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Able to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in a Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in heavy diesel mechanics and mobile plant fitting
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction equipment and Hitachi equipment
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team

About You:

  • You must have relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) Mobile Plant, Heavy Diesel trade qualifications or experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic looking to move into mining and construction machinery industry
  • Ability to be technical and mechanically experienced/aptitude

To Be Successful In This Role You Will Need:

  • Qualifications - Minimum Certificate III in a Mechanical Engineering discipline
  • Experience & Skillset - Heavy Diesel mechanics and field service fitters with demonstrated work experience and technical knowledge of construction equipment - Hitachi equipment experiences highly regarded
  • Analytical thinking - Ability to navigate complex technical issues in repair and maintenance services with minimal to zero rework
  • Autonomous productivity - Initiative to plan work fronts efficiently and effectively, delivering quality outcomes to ensure Total Customer Satisfaction
