The Role

We are currently seeking Fixed Plant Fitters to join our Maintenance Department at the Vulcan Mine Complex and support upcoming projects. This role will form part of a dedicated team responsible for the reliability and performance of our fixed infrastructure, and associated processing facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining fixed plant equipment to industry-leading standards
  • Performing breakdown repairs, preventative and predictive maintenance
  • Overseeing installation, commissioning, and optimisation of new fixed plant assets
  • Troubleshooting and implementing sustainable solutions to reduce downtime
  • Supporting operational teams to ensure reliability
  • Working closely with OEMs and contractors to resolve engineering issues

About You

We are seeking experienced Fixed Plant Fitters with a background in quarry, CHPP, or coal preparation plant environments. You'll bring:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience maintaining fixed plant, washplants, or quarry equipment (Terex & Finlay/ metso experience highly regarded)
  • Recognised trade qualification (Mechanical Fitter or equivalent)
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a focus on reliability
  • Valid Driver's Licence and full Australian work rights
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Highly Regarded:

  • Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical
  • OEM or washplant-specific training and certifications

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and qualification validation
