Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Packaging Designer and Estimator to join our organization in Rocklea, QLD.

This role involves expanding your design capabilities while working with a great team and environment as we enter the digital print market.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design product packaging and basic graphics for visualisation and concept presentations.
  • Support creation of product illustrations, concept sketches, diagrams, design specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Evaluate design ideas considering appearance, functionality, serviceability, materials, methods engineering, application, production costs, methods of production, market characteristics, and client specifications.
  • Provide day-to-day quoting support to sales team members.
  • Contribute to tender process from initial quoting through commercial analysis.
  • Identify cost savings opportunities on new and existing materials to improve customer margin.
  • Be key contact for project work requiring quoting, costing, and onboarding customers.
Requirements
  • Packaging design and estimating experience.
  • Ability to articulate creative ideas via concept sketching or verbal presentations.
  • Good understanding of 3-dimensional form and space.
  • Ability to prepare accurate technical specifications for quotation and manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in CAD programs to create models and renderings.
  • Ability to build physical models and prototypes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
