Job Title

We are seeking an experienced Packaging Estimator and Designer to join our organization in Brisbane.

This role offers the opportunity to expand your design capabilities while working in a great environment as we enter the digital print market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design product packaging and basic graphics for visualisation and concept presentations, as well as products for custom applications.
  • Support the creation of product illustrations, concept sketches, diagrams, design specifications and technical drawings (die lines).
  • Evaluate design ideas considering appearance, design-function relationships, serviceability, materials and methods engineering, application, price, production costs, methods of production, market characteristics, and client specifications.
  • Provide day-to-day quoting support to our sales team members.
  • Contribute and participate in the tender process from initial quoting through to commercial analysis.
  • Improve customer margin by identifying cost savings opportunities on new and existing materials.
  • Be the key contact in project work that requires quoting, costing and onboarding of customers.
Qualifications
  • Packaging design and estimating experience.
  • The ability to articulate and communicate creative ideas via concept sketching or verbal presentations.
  • A good understanding of 3-dimensional form and space.
  • Ability to prepare accurate technical specifications (e.g. die lines) for quotation and manufacturing.
  • Ability to use CAD programs to create models and renderings.
  • Ability to build physical models and prototypes to bring creative concepts to life.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise with good time and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
