Job Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity to expand your design capabilities while working in a collaborative environment and contributing to the success of our digital print business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design product packaging and basic graphics for visualisation and concept presentations.
  • Support creation of product illustrations, concept sketches, diagrams, design specifications and technical drawings (die lines).
  • Evaluate design ideas considering appearance, design-function relationships, serviceability, materials and methods engineering, application, budget, price, production costs, methods of production, market characteristics, and client specifications.
  • Provide day-to-day quoting support to sales team members.
  • Contribute to the tender process from initial quoting through to commercial analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer margin by reducing production costs on new and existing materials.
  • Act as key contact in project work that requires quoting, costing and onboarding of customers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Packaging design and estimating experience.
  • Able to articulate and communicate creative ideas via concept sketching or verbal presentations.
  • Good understanding of 3-dimensional form and space.
  • Ability to prepare accurate technical specifications (e.g. die lines) for quotation and manufacturing.
  • Proficient in CAD programs to create models and renderings.
  • Ability to build physical models and prototypes to bring creative concepts to life.
  • Independent worker with good time and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
