About this Opportunity

Airbus is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Avionics to join our maintenance team in Darwin.

The Role

As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will work closely with a team of technical experts to undertake aviation maintenance activities, ensuring the delivery of aircraft to meet specified schedules.

This position requires interaction with stakeholders to identify maintenance requirements and plays a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction.

You will be responsible for performing maintenance activities, conducting off-aircraft maintenance, and supporting operational units in industry-specific tasks such as advanced systems troubleshooting and rectification.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct maintenance in accordance with relevant regulations
  2. Undertake aircraft maintenance activities within your Quality Authorisations as directed by your supervisor
  3. Ensure all aircraft and aeronautical product maintenance activities are conducted effectively and efficiently
  4. Identify new opportunities for the enhancement of maintenance services

The skills and experience suited to this role include:

  1. Diploma Aeroskills (Avionics) or equivalent issued by a Registered Training Organisation
  2. High-Level aviation airworthiness regulatory knowledge and its applicability in the relevant environment
  3. Understanding of relevant aircraft maintenance documentation and practices
  4. Knowledge of and experience using Interactive Electronic Technical Publications
  5. Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
  6. Knowledge of and experience using CAMM2 an advantage

You must be eligible for an Australian Government Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance and have the capacity to satisfy pre-employment medical screening which may include drug and alcohol testing.
