Assembly Fitter

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team in a busy manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for mechanical assembly, quality control, and stock coordination operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform mechanical assembly of equipment, including quality inspection and functional testing.
  2. Monitor and manage workshop inventory, including parts and consumables.
  3. Inspect incoming goods to ensure compliance with purchase orders and internal quality standards.
  4. Prepare and package outgoing equipment in accordance with internal quality, logistics, and safety standards.
  5. Assist in the development and implementation of lean workshop processes to improve efficiency.
  6. Complete production and QA documentation, including electronic data entry and job tracking.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Trade qualification in mechanical fitting or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical assembly and equipment fitting.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Excellent planning, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in using computers and learning new systems.
  • Forklift licence (valid and current).

This is a permanent full-time position offering a 4-day week and competitive remuneration.
