Manufacturing Production Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Production Specialist to join our team in Melbourne. This is a full-time opportunity for someone who enjoys working with machinery and ensuring the highest quality products.

This role involves manufacturing, assembling, servicing, and testing various products, including wire ropes, chain slings, and lifting gear. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, knowledge of Australian Standards, and excellent attention to detail.

  • Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Operating hydraulic presses, chain cutters, and other testing equipment
  • Assembling and inspecting lifting gear
  • Manufacturing and testing chain and wire rope slings
  • Packing and preparing products for customer orders
  • Maintaining adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Knowledge of the lifting, rigging, or safety industry (desired but not essential)
  • The ability to interpret technical information and perform standard calculations
  • A current forklift license with recent experience
  • A commitment to safety and quality
  • Clear communication skills (verbal and written)
  • The ability and willingness to work in a small team
  • Basic computer skills for data entry (training provided)
  • Motivation to learn and progress within the business
  • Experience in a customer-focused environment
