About the Role

Talent International seeks an accomplished Linux Security Management Director to lead our Ubuntu engineering security management team. This is a rare opportunity to shape the security posture for Ubuntu and other products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage a globally distributed team of engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, feedback, and hands-on career development.
  • Develop and implement the security strategy for Ubuntu and other products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions that meet business needs.
  • Manage competing priorities while communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Promote modern software development practices and participate in code and architectural reviews.
  • Work from home with occasional global travel (up to 15%) for internal and external events.

Requirements:

  • You have a strong track record of developing and growing people.
  • You possess knowledge and passion for software security, either through certifications or application security experience.
  • You have experience leading, managing, coaching, and mentoring software developers.
  • You have solid experience working in agile development environments.
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar field and excelled in your studies.

Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
