We are seeking an experienced Domain Architect to lead the design, governance, and strategic planning of infrastructure, network, and hosting architectures that support scalable, secure, and interoperable healthcare systems.
This role will contribute to application roadmaps across clinical, digital, and enterprise platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational and clinical strategies.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the architecture of the organization in an environment where infrastructure will drive the changes ahead.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a deep understanding of the business strategy, operating model, focusing initially on Infrastructure and data centre strategy
- Create target-state architectural artifacts, including solution options and architecture design documentation
- Assess and communicate the impacts, trade-offs, risks, costs, benefits, and opportunities of proposed IT solutions to relevant IT managers or teams
- Promote architecture standards, patterns, and controls across IT and the broader business
- Establish processes and controls for discussing and deciding on the use of technologies for new and existing services
- Focus on infrastructure, networks, and telecommunications architecture. As a starting point and eventually ERP systems, and Digital and Clinical systems
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Extensive experience as a domain or solution architect in complex, distributed technology environments
- Strong background in infrastructure, networks, and telecommunications architecture, with the ability to expand into digital, data, and enterprise applications
- Strategic and Innovative mindset with a strong problem-solving approach
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple platforms, projects, and challenges
- Ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly to both business and IT colleagues
- Strong stakeholder management and clinical literacy skills for interacting with senior levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently, negotiate, and influence adherence to agreed patterns
- Proven track record of involvement in projects from inception to deployment
- Bachelor degree in IT, Health Informatics or related field
- 5+ years in architecture roles, with experience in private healthcare environments
- Understanding of Australian healthcare regulations and digital health initiatives
- Comfortable navigating hybrid environments and federated systems
- Technical skills in Cloud platforms (Azure & AWS), network design, integration and cyber security
This is a permanent position paying base salary plus super and fringe benefits. The working arrangement is hybrid.
