Frontend Platform Engineering Manager

We are looking for a skilled leader to manage our frontend platform engineering team.

Job Description

As a Frontend Platform Engineering Manager, you will lead the technical strategy and development of our core client infrastructure.

This includes designing and maintaining our design system, shared UI components, performance tooling, and accessibility standards.

You will work closely with our engineering mastermind to shape the infrastructure behind our healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own Heidi's Frontend Platform: Lead the technical strategy, development, and maintenance of core client infrastructure.
  • Drive Developer Productivity: Build tooling and abstractions that improve the day-to-day experience of frontend engineers.
  • Unify Cross-Platform Experiences: Collaborate with design and product to ensure consistent, performant experiences across desktop, mobile, and web clients.
  • Foster Technical Excellence: Champion best practices in frontend architecture, testing, performance, and accessibility across the org.
  • Support Teams Through Change: Guide the org through architectural migrations or upgrades, ensuring business continuity and minimal disruption.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 8–10+ years of engineer management experience, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or management role.
  • Proven track record building and scaling production systems in cloud environments.
  • Deep knowledge of infrastructure automation, CI / CD tooling, containerization, and orchestration.
  • Expertise in monitoring and alerting tools.
  • Experience with secrets management, service mesh, and distributed systems.
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements in healthcare.
  • Comfort with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
