Project Management Office Manager Job

The role of Project Management Office (PMO) Manager involves leading and overseeing the PMO to ensure consistent delivery of projects aligned with organisational objectives. Key responsibilities include establishing and maintaining project management standards, processes, and governance frameworks, providing strategic oversight and performance monitoring supporting project managers and stakeholders.

This position is ideal for someone with a tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. The successful candidate will have multiple years of experience as a PMO Manager or Project Controls Manager within construction, engineering, or a similar industry.

A strong commercial and contract acumen is essential, along with proficiency in project management software preferably MPower. Strong communication skills with a proven track record of building effective client relationships are also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement project reporting requirements to align with contract and corporate requirements.
  • Drive system integration with client and internal project delivery, finance and procurement processes and implement into project plans.
  • Interface with project managers, commercial teams, and delivery teams to ensure alignment.
  • Develop procurement programs and cash flow forecasting to align with project procurement timelines.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Multiple years of experience as a PMO Manager or Project Controls Manager within construction, engineering, or a similar industry.
  • Proficiency in project management software preferably MPower.
  • Strong commercial and contract acumen.
  • Sound communication skills with a proven track record of building effective client relationships.
