Acoustic Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Acoustic Engineer to join our team in Newcastle or Tuggerah. As an experienced professional in the field of noise and vibration engineering, you will play a critical role in conducting assessments for various projects across multiple sectors.

Your focus will be on applying technical expertise in acoustic consulting, working with diverse projects, and utilizing your knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines. You will also be responsible for designing noise and vibration mitigation treatments, as well as assisting in the writing and submission of tenders and proposals.

To succeed in this role, you will require a strong understanding of noise modelling software, as well as experience working with programming languages such as R Studio, MATLAB, or Python. Additionally, you should have a well-developed understanding of relevant measurement equipment and data visualisation skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct noise and vibration impact assessments for infrastructure projects
  • Apply technical expertise in acoustic consulting
  • Design noise and vibration mitigation treatments
  • Assist in writing and submitting tenders and proposals
Required Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, science, or similar
  • 5-10 years relevant consulting experience in acoustic/noise/vibration engineering
  • Experience with noise modelling software (SoundPLAN, CadnaA, EASE etc)
  • Well-developed understanding of relevant standards, guidelines, and measurement equipment
