About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Educator to join our Department of Paediatric Critical Care Medicine team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting decision-making, innovation, and objective analysis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Integrating clinical expertise and personal experience to inform decision-making and drive improvement.
  • Contributing to competency development and implementation of best practices.
  • Collaborating with leadership to enhance care delivery, reduce complaints, and promote cultural sensitivity and equity.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks. They will also have a strong commitment to ongoing professional development and be able to maintain current knowledge and skills in accordance with NMDA standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Critical Care Qualification - (Certificate appropriate to the area and role).
  • Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post-graduation experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse or holds an Associate Nurse Unit Manager position.
