Deliver Faith-Based Education Programs

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality SRE (Special Religious Education) programs to students in NSW public schools.

This role is an exciting opportunity to share your passion for faith and education with young people.

You will work collaboratively with local churches and other stakeholders to develop and deliver engaging SRE programs that meet the needs of students in NSW public schools.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and community members.

As a Scripture Educator, you will be empowered to create a safe and inclusive learning environment that fosters spiritual growth and development in students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and delivering SRE programs that align with the NSW Department of Education's curriculum requirements
  • Building relationships with local churches and community groups to support program delivery
  • Collaborating with teachers and school administrators to ensure seamless integration of SRE programs into the school curriculum
  • Providing pastoral care and support to students, parents, and staff
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports related to program delivery and student engagement
Requirements:
  • A current Working With Children Check number
  • Completion of a church-based Child Protection Training course within the last 3 years
  • Adherence to the Nicene Creed and Statement of Faith
  • Holding, or being willing to study towards, the SU Australia minimum qualifications
  • Authorisation to teach SRE by a Department of Education approved SRE Provider
