**Mechanical Assistant Role**

Reporting to a workshop leader, you will be responsible for contributing to the maintenance and repair of equipment in an efficient and timely manner.

**Workplace Culture and Benefits**

  • Located near Perth Airport
  • 38 hour working week
  • Monday - Friday: 6am - 2pm with potential overtime

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**

  • Intermediate diagnosis and fault finding of machinery for repair and service
  • Servicing of all fleet vehicles including trucks, trailers, dollies, and motor vehicles according to maintenance and workshop procedures
  • Replacement of brakes, suspension components, and steering systems
  • Basic body building, including welding and grinding
  • Auto electrical work on 12 or 24 volt systems
  • Maintenance of a clean and organized workspace

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

  • Previous experience in the Mechanical industry
  • Current Forklift Licence (LF)
  • Good organisation and planning skills
  • A passion for mechanical work
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a fast-paced team
