Primary Learning Support Specialist

This is an exciting and challenging role for someone who is passionate about Christian education, adopts a relational approach to their work demonstrating experience and a willingness to partner with the Learning Support team and the College Staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the Primary teacher liaison under the guidance of Head of Student Learning and Support to provide individualised interventions for students.
  • Guide teachers in planning and implementing learning interventions and activities.
  • Provide advice to primary school teachers in managing student behavior of students with disabilities.
  • Maintain open and respectful communication with parents and caregivers regarding student progress.
Requirements
  • A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and actively attending their local Church.
  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in- Master's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in learning support experience in special education in students with disabilities or experience in working with students in a learning support or teaching assistant role.
  • Demonstrated experience in communication and interpersonal skills commitment to child safety and technical organisational skills.
