Construction Project Management Role 

Job Description:

As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of construction projects to ensure successful project completion. This includes estimating costs, establishing budgets and contract prices, negotiating cost-effective subcontract and material purchases, and setting up job procedures to assure timely buyout, shop drawing approval, and material delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume primary responsibility for project operations, including managing project timelines, resources, and budget
  • Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain the best possible prices and services
  • Develop and implement effective project management strategies to ensure timely completion and within budget
  • Maintain open communication with project stakeholders, including owners, architects, and subcontractors
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues
  • Direct and supervise project team members, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Organize regular meetings with project stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress
  • Review and interpret contract conditions, ensuring compliance with all contractual terms
  • Oversee preconstruction services and activities, ensuring seamless project execution
  • Support business development efforts, participating in sales interviews and presentations

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5-8 years of field construction management experience, including supervisory skills
  • Proven problem-solving ability, strong sense of urgency, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and drafting skills, proficiency in computer applications
  • Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting principles
  • Detailed understanding of project management control systems
