Job Overview
This exciting role as a Disability Support Specialist offers the opportunity to work in a fun and energetic team focused on the future growth of Sunnyfield. You will play an essential role in supporting and empowering people with disabilities to live a life of their choosing. Working in both a team environment and independently, you will provide a range of services assisting clients to live independently and actively involved in their community.

About the Role
The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supporting clients to live an active lifestyle and participate in their community through the delivery of person-centred programs
  • Working to behaviour support plans by utilising positive behaviour strategies
  • Assisting and supporting clients with personal and hygiene care
  • Communicating with families about clients' progress
  • Maintenance of progress notes and record-keeping

About You
To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience in the Disability sector and demonstrated knowledge of supporting high needs clients
  • Able to support others with personal and hygiene care
  • Personal qualities of resilience, empathy and self-confidence
  • High levels of enthusiasm, initiative and a positive attitude while acting with integrity, honesty and respect
