Job Opportunity: Diesel Fitting Apprentice

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to participate in a competency-based apprenticeship program focused on diesel fitting skills development through formal and on-the-job training.

About the Position

This role involves assisting in the maintenance and repair of plant/equipment systems, including engines, cooling systems, transmissions, clutches, hydraulics, braking systems, and more.

  • Collaborate with experienced professionals to complete tasks under close supervision.
Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in a 4-year Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology course at TAFE North Queensland.
  • Develop advanced skills in diesel fitting through comprehensive learning activities.
  • Maintain a strong safety culture and adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum Year 10 completion with passes in English and Mathematics.
  • Queensland C class provisional drivers' license (or ability to obtain).
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
