Heavy Equipment Maintenance Manager

The ideal candidate will oversee daily maintenance activities across a diverse fleet of heavy mobile equipment, ensuring the highest standards of safety performance and technical quality.
- Lead maintenance crews and step-up supervisors in providing clear direction and coordination of scheduled maintenance, breakdowns, and component change-outs.
- Maintain high standards of safety performance through coaching and adherence to procedures and policies.
- Collaborate with planners, coordinators, and OEMs to ensure equipment is returned to service safely and efficiently.
- Monitor and support the technical quality of maintenance work, ensuring compliance with asset strategies and maintenance plans.
- Drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices and team performance.
The successful candidate should possess:
- A confident leadership style with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Trade qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical field.
- Hands-on experience with diverse heavy machinery—ideally including HME.
- Proven experience managing teams through high volume maintenance activities.
- Sound working knowledge of SAP and Asset Management systems.
- Desirable: Completion of Frontline Management qualifications and S1, S2 and G2 training.
