Site Maintenance Technician

Our team is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join us on a permanent full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance of site plant and equipment, ensuring maximum production levels.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience as a maintenance fitter in a production or manufacturing environment, a qualification in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field, knowledge of occupational health and safety standards, and experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.

Key Responsibilities- Maintaining production levels by ensuring fixed plant equipment functions correctly to minimize downtime.
- Performing repairs and servicing of fixed plant machinery, including treatment plant, stacking equipment, kilns, heat plant, moulders, and transfer belts.
- Using sound judgment regarding maintenance decisions with regard to employee health and safety.
- Substantial experience as a maintenance fitter in a production or manufacturing environment.
- A qualification in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards.
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Relevant tickets such as working at heights, confined spaces, forklift license are desirable.
