Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a hands-on, technically proficient Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Design & Project Engineering team working across a diverse range of minerals processing projects.

  • Performing design calculations for minerals processing plants, including flotation, carbon-in-leach circuits, pumping systems, and conveyors.
  • Delivering engineering packages including datasheets, equipment specifications, layout development, and drawing reviews.
  • Applying sound design theories, principles, and practices to practical project outcomes.
  • Providing a working knowledge of bulk solids handling and conveyor design.
  • Managing and delivering multiple small projects concurrently.
  • Supporting construction and commissioning activities on-site as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10 years experience in the mining and minerals processing industry, particularly with gold and copper projects.
  • Strong technical background – capable of reviewing and guiding design outputs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with an ability to juggle priorities across several smaller-scale projects.
  • Commitment to safety in design and design for constructability principles.
  • Exposure to greenfield and brownfield project environments.
  • Familiarity with Australian and international engineering codes and standards.
