Transforming Infrastructure Projects through Strategic Communication

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced senior professional to lead strategic communication and stakeholder engagement activities for major infrastructure projects in regional NSW.

This is a temporary opportunity based in Wollongong/South Coast NSW, where you will have the chance to make a real impact and shape the future of our region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop effective messaging strategies across multiple platforms to engage stakeholders and communicate project progress.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop stakeholder plans and materials, ensuring open communication and best practice engagement initiatives.
  • Facilitate meetings, coordinate events, workshops, and community consultation activities to promote stakeholder engagement and awareness.
  • Coordinate media activities, resolve emerging issues, and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
What We Are Looking For
  • Experience in complex government environments with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, liaise with multiple stakeholders, and adapt to changing situations.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in communication, engagement, media, or public relations advantageous.
