Overview

Eden Ritchie is seeking a creative and collaborative Senior Communications Advisor to join a high-profile transport infrastructure project team. A two year position with possible extension. Based on the Sunshine Coast.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to communications, stakeholder and community engagement strategies for a major transport infrastructure project.
  • Tell stories about local community benefits and plan engagement activities that support smooth journeys ahead.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure effective messaging and stakeholder relationships in high‑profile or fast‑paced environments.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in communications, stakeholder and community engagement, or public relations, preferably in government or infrastructure.
  • Understanding of infrastructure or transport is a bonus; experience telling success stories of large builds is valued.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (including attention to detail).
  • Proven ability to engage communities, build relationships with diverse stakeholders, and manage messaging with sensitivity.
  • Experience working with or within government departments, balancing community value with organisational priorities.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Tertiary qualification in Communications or Public Relations or a related field is highly desirable, along with IAP2 Certification.
