\The Centre for Molecular Oncology at UNSW Australia is seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Officer in Bioinformatics to join our team. This exciting opportunity will play a key role in advancing our understanding of inherited sarcoma susceptibility.
\In this critical position, you will lead and contribute to bioinformatics and statistical analysis using cutting-edge tools and techniques. Your primary focus will be on statistical fine-mapping and functional bioinformatics to discover novel genetic variants.
\With a strong background in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, or engineering, you will have a minimum of five years of experience in analyzing population-scale whole genome/transcriptomics datasets using open-source libraries such as GATK and Hail.
\A competitive salary of $123,000 - $138,000 per annum (plus 17% superannuation and leave loading) awaits the successful candidate. You will also enjoy flexible working arrangements and access to professional development opportunities.
