Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a key member in coordinating tree-related service requests from the community. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring timely and efficient allocation to internal teams and contractors.

Your tasks will include providing high-level administrative support to the Tree Management Program Officer and the broader tree management team. You will work in an environment that requires the use of multiple computer programs and regular engagement with the public.

Your contribution will directly support the Council's commitment to the Yarra Ranges Tree Canopy Strategy. This includes preserving and enhancing the region's urban forest.

The role is a full-time permanent position requiring 38 hours of work per week.

Main Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for absorbing and applying new information quickly to deliver responsive customer service.
  • You will contribute to team success by sharing information and involving others in decision making.
  • You will engage across departments to support the planning, reporting, and budgeting of projects related to tree management.
  • You will support the coordination of customer requests and issue to appropriate contractors and internal crews during extreme weather events.

You will have great organisational and interpersonal skills, enabling you to communicate confidently with diverse customers. You will also be able to manage your own time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and on schedule.
