About the Role

The Occupational Therapist provides culturally responsive occupational therapy services for Aboriginal children, youth, and their families to optimise their child's development.

The role supports children and youth living with a range of disabilities, particularly neurodevelopmental disabilities including Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

This role is specific to the provision of assessment and therapeutic supports to National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualised plans for NDIS participants
  • Provide occupational therapy services, including interventions and activities tailored to meet the needs of each participant
  • Collaborate with other health professionals and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on participant progress

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities and cultural competence
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package, including:

  • Base Salary: $100,210 - $112,222 (p.a.)
  • Total Effective Package: $122,462 - $135,978 (p.a.)

Location

The role is primarily based in Alice Springs; occasional remote travel may be a requirement of this position.
