Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work from detailed specifications, job orders, and instructions to produce high-quality welded wire mesh.
  • Set up manufacturing processes ensuring equipment speed and temperature meet prescribed levels for various wire sizes and types.
  • Determine necessary materials based on production specifications and ensure process tanks are filled to proper levels as prescribed by engineering and supervision.
  • Select the correct wire for production runs and ensure proper installation; feed wire leader through machines and position for pick-up.
  • Operate equipment, making adjustments to temperature, speed, and product settings as needed to maintain quality and quantity control during processing.
  • Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of line equipment.
  • Correct any issues with improper processing.
  • Report serious problems to the maintenance department or supervisor.
  • Ensure all products are properly tagged and labeled.
  • Use specialized tools such as skimming/drossing tools and Uni-shear/splice tools as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of production and maintenance activities.
  • Move materials as necessary to perform duties or as directed.
  • Identify and report any issues with faulty equipment or unusual conditions to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment, adhering to safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or a related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and move materials as needed.
