Role Overview

Cyber & Technology Underwriter/Senior Underwriter – Parental Leave Cover

This is a dynamic position for a Cyber & Technology Underwriter/Senior Underwriter to join our team. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, drive business growth, and develop your skills in underwriting technology risks.

  • Underwrite technology risks with the aim of delivering set financial targets for allocated Broker panels and fostering strong relationships with brokers.
  • Deliver Distribution activities, including broker visits, key account management, prospecting, and new business generation, while leveraging your risk assessment expertise to optimize results.
  • Ensure that all delegated underwriting authority is used appropriately, with due consideration given to managing capacity on new and renewal business.
  • Develop and execute personal distribution plans for assigned Broker panels, taking into account relevant product guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with Cyber & Technology Practice Leaders and Product Line Managers to achieve shared objectives.
  • Participate in joint travel and presentations, engaging stakeholders and sharing knowledge to promote business growth.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in underwriting technology PI, Casualty, and Cyber classes of business in an intermediated market, demonstrating knowledge of pricing techniques and claim development.
  • Able to handle a mix of mid-market volume business and large, complex accounts, ensuring effective coverage and tailoring recommendations accordingly.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing product and industry dynamics in a rapidly growing segment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to influence decisions and work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
