Job Title: Cyber Security Specialist 

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to provide expert cybersecurity guidance, implement security measures, and ensure the protection of our systems and data.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity and experience with SAP solutions and Azure environments.

Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Security Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive cyber security strategies and plans to protect our systems and data.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to align security initiatives with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate cyber security risks associated with our systems and infrastructure.
    • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Security Architecture and Design:
    • Design and architect secure systems and infrastructure, incorporating best practices and industry standards.
    • Implement security controls and measures to protect against cyber threats.
  • Incident Response:
    • Develop and maintain incident response plans to address security breaches and incidents.
    • Lead incident response efforts, ensuring timely and effective resolution of security incidents.
  • Compliance and Governance:
    • Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations, standards, and policies.
    • Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to maintain a strong security posture.
  • Training and Awareness:
    • Develop and deliver security training programs to educate employees on cyber security best practices.
    • Promote a culture of security awareness within the organization.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Provide expert guidance on cyber security technologies, tools, and methodologies.
    • Stay updated with the latest cyber security trends, threats, and best practices.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and compliance, to ensure holistic security coverage.
    • Effectively communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. A postgraduate degree is preferred.
  • Certifications: AGSVA security clearance is mandatory. Baseline as a minimum, preferably NV1. Or must be an Australian Citizen with ability to obtain clearance.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Cyber Security Specialist, with a strong focus on SAP solutions and Azure environments.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of SAP security architecture and best practices. Proficiency in Azure security features and services. Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001 and NIST).
