Overview
Melbourne Water is seeking a highly skilled Water Supply Operator to oversee the Operations and Maintenance of the Winneke Water Treatment Plant, Sugarloaf Reservoir and associated Assets.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day and emergency operations of Melbourne Water's water supply assets, including storage and service reservoirs, filtration and chemical dosing plants, pumping stations and transfer mains.
This involves practical hands-on operational duties, and the use of several IT systems including remote monitoring & system control.
About You
- Educational Qualifications: Electrical Trade Qualified or extensive experience in Industrial Electrical systems is highly desirable. Certificate III or higher in Water/Wastewater Industry Operations is highly desirable.
- Experience: Experience with water/wastewater treatment processes is essential. Ability to take accurate numerical readings and measurements is required.
- Technical Skills: Experience in using other internal computer applications such as SCADA (either through Melbourne Water or a similar organisation) is highly desirable.
