This nation-building project will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an analytical and detail oriented individual to join our Weather and Water team as a Water Resource Advisor. This crucial role provides the business with timely insights and advice on the Snowy Scheme's water resources, to maximise business outcomes through optimisation of all physical, commercial and regulatory constraints.

This is a pivotal role that can, by mutual agreement, offer flexible working arrangements, as Snowy Hydro appreciates the additional value such arrangements can bring to our business and to our employees.

**Some of your responsibilities will include**:
Quality control and assurance of input and output data

Identifying potential water operations constraints

Working closely with the Hydrographic Services team to understand data collection methods and the impacts on data quality

Water modelling and analytics, including developing analytical models to assess data requests and operational requirements

Supporting development projects and providing strategic direction

**We are looking for someone with**:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as engineering or science

Minimum 3 years of water engineering experience, such as applied hydrology and hydraulic engineering

Experience in water systems modelling practices with demonstrated programming skills is preferred

Understanding of hydro power operational, hydrological and meteorological processes.

High level of attention to detail with strong analytical skills

Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
