Inventory Control Specialist

 

Job Description:

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of inventory management processes within the store.

You will work closely with the wider store management team to prioritize operations and activities, focusing on stock movement, inventory management, and minimizing stock loss.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing direction to the Inventory Team on daily priorities for stock-to-floor processing and delivery receipt
  • Planning and managing stock deliveries to achieve a door-to-floor period of 24 hours
  • Ensuring maximum stock availability through effective management of replenishment systems
  • Optimizing the back-of-house layout for efficiency and ease of access to best-selling products
  • Assisting in stock loss management and procedures
  • Coaching and guiding the Inventory Team to enhance performance

 

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role within a high-turnover, large-format fashion retailer
  • Experience in inventory management preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work towards tight deadlines without compromising output quality
  • Previous experience managing a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing workloads and priorities
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
