Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor - Data Centre Expert

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Data Centre team in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing various traditional quantity surveying functions, including estimating, planning, and cost management, cost monitoring, and accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with clients, architects, and main contractors to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Identify and facilitate new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue.
  • Develop and manage master-plan and feasibility budgets to ensure project viability.
  • Conduct cost checking of developing designs to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Apply value engineering principles to optimize project costs and improve client value.
  • Evaluate tenders and analyze data to inform informed decision-making.
  • Negotiate contracts to ensure fair and equitable terms for all parties.
  • Manage cash flow and procurement processes to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Prepare and present cost reports to stakeholders, including clients and project teams.
  • Finalize account reporting and prepare claims for presentation and negotiation.
  • Investigate and analyze investment opportunities to drive business growth.
  • Develop and implement benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy, and time-to-prepare cost models and plans.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction.
  • Extensive experience in cost estimating and planning software, including Cost X.
  • Demonstrated track record of winning and managing major projects, including mission-critical and complex sites.
