Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

WT Partnership is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing various traditional quantity surveying functions, including estimating, planning, and cost management, cost monitoring, and accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with clients, architects, and main contractors to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Identifying and facilitating new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue
  • Master-planning and feasibility budgeting to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Cost checking of developing designs to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Value engineering to optimize project costs and improve profitability
  • Tender evaluations and analysis to ensure the best value for our clients
  • Contract negotiations to secure the best terms and conditions for our clients
  • Cash flow project management to ensure timely payments and minimize financial risk
  • Procurement to source the best materials and services at the best prices
  • Cost reporting to provide accurate and timely financial information to our clients
  • Evaluation of variations to ensure fair and reasonable pricing
  • Valuations to determine the value of completed projects
  • Final account reporting to ensure accurate and timely payment to our clients
  • Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation, and settlement to ensure fair and reasonable outcomes for our clients
  • Investment analysis to optimize project returns and improve profitability

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management
  • Full Australian working rights and currently located in Australia
  • RICS/AIQS accreditation highly regarded
  • Proficient in the use of Cost X
  • Thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from conception to completion and post-project review
  • Highly motivated with a passion for delivering excellence to clients
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage a team and control multiple projects/client commissions
