Heavy Vehicle Technician Position

Just Automotive Recruitment is proud to present a fantastic full-time position for a Truck Mechanic at our esteemed client, Macktec Pty Ltd.
About the Job:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for serving and repairing vehicles according to repair order instructions within the service department.
- They will promote customer satisfaction to the required dealer standards and oversee the work of any apprentice technicians assigned to them.
Salary and Benefits:
We offer an attractive salary range of $65,000-$90,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. Additionally, our client provides a supportive work environment, opportunities for growth and development, and a competitive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform work as per the repair order instructions, advising on any additional requirements to the workshop team.
- Document all work performed, including cause and correction, and recommend any work not carried out during service and repair.
- Ensure that customer vehicles are left in excellent condition, including cleanliness and personal touches.
- Supervise apprentice technicians and communicate effectively with the parts department to obtain necessary parts.
- Participate in dealership and service department meetings, attend online training sessions, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements:
- A trade certificate in heavy vehicle mechanics or a related field.
- Drivers' licenses equivalent to the role, including car, light-duty, truck, and agricultural licenses.
- Technical knowledge aligned with qualification specifications.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a commitment to providing exceptional service across all channels.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a willingness to support colleagues as needed.
- Time management and organizational skills, with the ability to accomplish objectives efficiently and effectively.
