Job Title: CHPP Technician

The role of the CHPP Technician is a key position within our organization, requiring a highly motivated and skilled individual to assist in the frontline delivery of the Mangoola Coal Mechanical Engineering Control Plan.

This involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical apparatus in accordance with Australian and mine standards, working proactively with the CHPP team to ensure that asset management and production targets are achieved, participating and contributing to our proactive safety culture, and promoting and maintaining a high level of positive safety performance & workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the Mangoola Coal values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in frontline delivery of the Mangoola Coal Mechanical Engineering Control Plan
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical apparatus in accordance with Australian and mine standards
  • Work proactively with the CHPP team to ensure that asset management and production targets are achieved
  • Participate and contribute to our proactive safety culture
  • Promote and maintain a high level of positive safety performance & workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the Mangoola Coal values
Requirements:
  • Qualified Mechanical Tradesperson (Fitter/Boilermaker) qualification
  • Previous experience as a Mechanical technician in a CHPP or fixed plant industrial setting
  • Familiarity with crushers, conveyors, vibrating screens, centrifuges, industrial pumps, and similar equipment
  • High regard for your personal safety and the safety of your teammates
  • Able to follow a plan and the resilience to adapt to a challenging and dynamic environment
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to working proactively
  • Team player with a high level of safety awareness, an attitude for outstanding performance, and a willingness to contribute to a winning team
