Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our payroll operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering efficient payroll services and supporting our diverse portfolio.

This role involves managing critical payroll compliance functions, including WorkCover claims and processes, making it an integral part of supporting the health and safety of our workforce.

You will work closely with the Payroll Team Leader in reviewing and overseeing payroll processing and end of month reconciliation and reporting.

  • Processing payroll transactions efficiently on a fortnightly/monthly basis for a team of 1000+ staff members, ensuring the accuracy of timesheets and leave applications
  • Managing WorkCover claims, including monitoring, and reconciliation of payments to ensure compliance with relevant legislation
  • Generating weekly reports on centre hours for senior management
  • Conducting monthly and annual reconciliations of key payroll accounts, including superannuation, WorkCover, parental leave, and Single Touch Payroll (STP) requirements
About You
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in similar payroll roles, including end-to-end payroll for 1000+ employees
  • Experience using Employment Hero (or similar) software
  • Strong understanding of WorkCover processes and obligations
  • Ability to consistently meet regular deadlines and manage time effectively
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
  • Ability to communicate proactively and work collaboratively with the Payroll Team, Accounts Team, and Centre staff
