Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Farm Manager to join our team. As a Farm Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic planning and hands-on management of farm operations.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience working with beef cattle and sheep across various production stages, as well as competency in operating and maintaining modern farm machinery. Strong understanding of animal welfare and low-stress stock handling is also essential.

Key responsibilities include coordinating day-to-day activities, overseeing staff, maintaining property and equipment, and ensuring the health and welfare of livestock. The successful candidate will also contribute to budgeting and financial planning, implement biosecurity management measures, and manage pasture health and rotational grazing practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with beef cattle and sheep across various production stages
  • Experience in cell grazing preferred
  • Competency in operating and maintaining modern farm machinery
  • Strong understanding of animal welfare and low-stress stock handling
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team environment
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Prior experience in infrastructure maintenance and pasture management
  • Current driver's license (machinery tickets or certifications a bonus)
