Seasonal Centre Manager Opportunity


A leading health-focused organization seeks an experienced Centre Manager to lead a team in delivering exceptional customer experiences on a casual basis at one of their seasonal pools. The role involves overseeing the operations of the Centre, managing a team, and engaging with the local community.

The Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified and experienced Centre Manager to coach, inspire, and lead the team in delivering operational, financial, and program objectives through strategic planning and collaboration with the Centre's leadership team, stakeholders, and local Council.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensure the safety and well-being of visitors and staff through effective policies, processes, and procedures;
  • Coach and develop leaders to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) through engagement, performance planning, and development initiatives;
  • Foster a high-performance, community-focused culture through visible leadership and team engagement;
  • Achieve budgeted performance targets;
  • Maintain a strong relationship with the local Council;
  • Implement a customer service strategy that meets the needs of the community;
  • Recruit and develop passionate, diverse staff to support the Centre's vision;
  • Identify and develop career pathways and succession plans;
  • Maintain facilities to high standards in accordance with contractual requirements.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:


  • Experience managing or leading in a leisure or aquatic facility;
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively;
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation;
  • Proven experience in operational, financial, and personnel planning and execution;
  • Current CPR and First Aid (Level 2) Certificates;
  • National Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People clearance;
  • Legal right to work in Australia;
  • Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or ability to obtain one).
