Equity Outreach Coordinator

As the newly appointed Equity Outreach Coordinator at The University of Western Australia, you will be responsible for coordinating programs for the Student Equity team. Your focus will be on pre-access, access, and participation life stages, including Aspire UWA, Fairway UWA, and the Student Equity Ambassador Program. You will support the delivery of school-based workshops and information sessions, community-based activities, and on-campus events for equity outreach programs.


Key responsibilities will include implementing program objectives, providing support in the delivery of workshops and information sessions, community-based activities, and on-campus events. You will also be involved in running overnight camps for students and will be expected to travel to regional centres. To succeed in this role, you will need to have relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent competency, substantial experience in project/event support and administration, and excellent organisational skills. Additionally, you will need to have a current C Class Drivers Licence, flexibility, and willingness to participate in residential camps and travel to regional and remote centres.


Requirements


  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent competency.
  • Substantial experience in project/event support and administration.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of the Western Australian school system, university entry pathways, and commitment to equity and diversity.
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence.
  • Flexibility and willingness to participate in residential camps and travel to regional and remote centres.
  • Current Working with Children Check for Western Australia.
  • Ability to undertake physical tasks such as packing and unpacking materials.
