  • Stay proactive in offering suggestions and alternate approaches to achieve exceptional results.
  • Prepare thoroughly for feedback sessions, ensuring a strong understanding of the task requirements.
  • Provide artistic guidance and feedback to junior Roto artists.
  • Contribute to the development of generic scripts and templates for efficient task completion.
  • Estimate task duration and scheduling requirements with accuracy.
  • Collaborate across departments to enhance techniques and efficiencies for assigned shots and sequences.
  • Balance individual shot work with mentoring and supporting junior artists.
  • Promote productivity enhancements in the current pipeline and work practices.
  • Communicate effectively with management and show supervision to maintain strong morale and address communication issues.
  • Assist in troubleshooting shots and setups, and provide solutions to improve look and technique.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and tools, applying knowledge to maintain the highest image quality.
  • Organize and lead workshops to share knowledge and best practices among the team.
  • Mentor and provide feedback to junior members, including performance reviews and leadership development.
  • Contribute to the quality control process for artist or vendor reviews.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Excellent artistic eye and experience in creating visually appealing shots.
  • Attention to detail and technical proficiency in roto and paint tasks using Silhouette and Nuke.
  • Advanced skill in hand-painting techniques using Silhouette.
  • Strong proficiency in multi-element integration and edge work.
  • Complex roto and paint work expertise.
  • Ability to establish novel techniques and apply knowledge of photography, composition, lighting, color, and motion.
  • Understanding of image pipeline from capture to delivery, and practical application of this knowledge to maintain image quality.
