Editorial Team Member

We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate reader to join our editorial team in Sydney. As an integral part of our publishing process, you will be responsible for project managing books, copy-editing, proofreading, and management of page proofs. This role involves reading and reporting on manuscripts, proposals, and books submitted for publication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project manage books from manuscript stage to final production
  • Copy-edit and proofread texts for accuracy and consistency
  • Manage page proofs and provide final files to production
  • Read and report on manuscripts, proposals, and books submitted for publication
  • Maintain title data in our bibliographic system
  • Manage copywrite clearances for text and visual materials
  • Provide editorial and administrative support to the local publishing department

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have a keen eye for detail, outstanding time management skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment. Previous experience within the book and entertainment industries is advantageous, but we welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds.
