Operations Leadership Role

The Operations Lead is a key position within our organization's Commercial Transactions division. The team focuses on delivering the State's future public transport ticketing solution and services, overseeing the transition and implementation of the new system.

This leadership role requires an experienced professional who can guide a multidisciplinary operations team in delivering the transition from the previous ticketing services contract to the new contract. The Operations Lead will work closely with the broader Commercial Transactions division and other stakeholders to ensure operational readiness for the implementation and operations of the future ticketing system.

Key responsibilities include leading overall operations teams to ensure delivery of all contractual requirements, acquisition of goods and services required for implementation of the future public transport ticketing system, and collaborating with senior leadership to support strategic planning and delivery of departmental priorities.

The successful candidate will be a seasoned leader with strong stakeholder engagement, systems thinking, and digital literacy skills. They will have a proven record of leading commercial analysis and advisory of government initiatives and possess a relevant tertiary qualification in commerce, finance, economics, or related discipline.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the design, planning, and operation of Victoria's transport system, working collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve outcomes that support the prosperity and liveability of the state.
