Cloud Architect Role

The role of Cloud Architect involves leading the planning, execution, and optimization of public cloud services and architectural frameworks.

This strategic leadership position will shape the agency's cloud roadmap, ensure alignment with government policies, and uplift internal capability across cloud and architecture disciplines.

You'll oversee cloud operations, lead a high-performing team, and collaborate across portfolios to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions that support the mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement architecture roadmaps aligned with government cloud and cyber security policies.
  • Drive innovation by integrating emerging cloud technologies into systems.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver cloud infrastructure that meets current and future needs.
  • Manage multi-vendor environments and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards.
Requirements
  • Proven expertise in cloud-native architecture, DevSecOps, and multi-vendor environments.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate across diverse groups.
  • Experience in SIAM operating models and managing cloud centres of excellence.
  • Strategic thinking with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Tertiary qualifications within a relevant business discipline and demonstrated relevant working experience in a similar role or industry.
