About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Air Pollution and Odour Control Engineer/Scientist to join our Water Division in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical expertise and leadership on various projects, primarily in the water sector in Australia and internationally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise to support project managers and group managers on various projects.
  • Lead project teams and ensure that project outcomes meet client and Stantec expectations in terms of profit, schedule, technical, and quality standards.
  • Plan, program, coordinate, and write reports for specific projects and proposals.
  • Produce and review technical calculations, specifications, and drawings to ensure that technical designs provide appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare and review cost estimates for project design and construction.
  • Contribute to proposal and bid development to support business development activities.
  • Minimize and control risk by commitment to the Stantec Quality, Health & Safety programs and ensuring proactive use of project management systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering – Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 10 years of professional experience in engineering consultancies, preferably within the water & waste sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge of standard processes and procedures in relevant technical fields of odour control and treatment.
  • Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain client and internal relationships with key staff across the Australian business.
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.
