Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Highways Infrastructure Specialist to join our core Civil Infrastructure business unit in our Sydney office. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the teams delivering NSW's latest road, infrastructure, and energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage selected designs and teams for projects or design elements to meet budget, time-frame, and quality targets.
  • Provide technical advice to project team members while building and maintaining effective relationships.
  • Collaborate with other design teams and disciplines to ensure the integrity and quality of the overall design of infrastructure and other land development projects.
  • Develop and implement digitally innovative design solutions for our clients.
  • Promote and develop the technical capability of other team members.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have a forward-thinking attitude and be ready to challenge yourself. You will be a degree-qualified engineer with experience in civil design and will come to us with:

  • Relevant engineering degree with or progressing to Chartered status or equivalent professional accreditation.
  • Experience (> 7 years) in providing high-quality delivery of roads and civil-related concepts and designs while working collaboratively with other teams.
  • Sound knowledge and experience working with local design standards, including Austroads Guide to Road Design and specifications.
  • Ability to lead, manage, mentor, and develop medium-scale, diverse project teams.
  • Sound understanding or desire to progress into design management.
  • Experience in reviewing designs in 3D software.
  • Strong stakeholder management capability through effective communication.
  • A passion for continuous improvement, quality, and improving service for our clients.
