We are seeking a highly skilled Ecommerce Content Writer to join our team at News Corp Australia. As a key member of our content team, you will be responsible for creating and optimizing world-class ecommerce content that drives engagement and revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a content strategy that aligns with our ecommerce goals and enhances our product recommendations across various brands.
- Write high-quality, engaging, and revenue-driving ecommerce content that meets our brand's values and standards.
- Pitch ideas to grow and diversify our affiliate revenue stream in regular content planning meetings.
- Manage, write, and edit tech deals articles to ensure they meet our content quality standards.
- Conduct in-depth research and interview experts for assigned articles to provide valuable insights and information.
- Optimize and update existing ecommerce stories to increase their earning potential.
- Cover ecommerce sale tent poles throughout the year, focusing on SEO best practices.
- Collaborate with social, email, and audience development teams to ideate and execute new ways of connecting shopping on social media and newsletters.
- Use purchasing data, research trends, and perform competitive analysis to inform content development and improvement.
- Represent News Corp Australia within the industry at press events, product launches, and other relevant events.
Requirements
- A strong understanding of what makes for high-quality, engaging, and clickable digital content.
- A clear passion and enthusiasm for News Corp Australia's brands, particularly those in the ecommerce space.
- Previous experience writing clean, authentic, engaging copy for a digital lifestyle brand or publication at speed.
- Previous experience working and uploading into a CMS.
- Demonstrable knowledge of core SEO principles and best practices to attract a buying audience.
- An organized, methodical approach to work with a creative and collaborative mindset.
- The ability to work against tight deadlines.
- A flair for working with individuals across different departments.
- A self-starter who relishes the opportunity to directly accelerate the growth of News Corp Australia's ecommerce business.
