Insurance Underwriting Specialist

We are seeking a skilled insurance underwriter to manage a portfolio of SME business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop the SME underwriting portfolio, focusing on renewals and new business policies as required.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all underwriting related matters and issues, providing guidance and advice when necessary.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, brokers, and distribution customers.
  • Support the Regional Manager and Underwriting Team in managing the SME portfolio.
  • Contribute to risk and compliance management practices within the SME portfolio.
Requirements
  • Proven underwriting experience and knowledge in the insurance sector.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and negotiate with key stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of meeting business goals and targets.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of commercial insurance principles, policies, pricing, reinsurance, claims, and risk management.
